In addition to architectural design,
our work includes remodeling and restoration of existing
spaces in old houses. The most common are kitchens
and bathrooms, but as you can see here, we also do
interiors for living rooms, dining rooms, etc. |
| Fortunately, many companies (see Resources)
have come out with new and reproduction lines of wallpapers,
stencils and other finishes that fit in well with this
vintage architecture. Here, we've incorporated these
finishes with the clients' existing furniture, china,
and textiles. |

A dramatic staircase is often a prominent
feature in an Arts & Crafts house. Here, the open
railing has geometric cutouts in the ballusters. The
right shade of paint sets off natural woodwork. Appropriate
artwork and accessories finish off the look. |
| In this greatroom/kitchen addition,
the client wanted to display their vast collection of
art pottery in an appropriate setting. We combined a
traditional fireplace and piano window wall with more
contemporary lighting above and in the cabinets to show
off the pottery to best effect. The abundant white oak
trim stained dark provides a dramatic contrast to the
softer colors and sculpture of the pottery. See

Combining traditional details
with a more contemporary space; a high ceiling and clerestory
windows, provided more natural light for both the living
area and the office mezzanine, from where this photo
was taken. The french door leads out to a planted patio
area with an overhead pergola. See
